Our Team

Sally Longworth

The team is led by Sally Longworth who has worked as a forensic accountant for the past 32 years and has a breadth of experience in acting as an expert witness and as advisor in a range of civil and criminal cases. She has experience of giving evidence at Court and in Arbitration and Judge Hodge QC commented in a recent judgment that Ms Longworth was an excellent expert witness, considered and measured in her evidence.

Paul Sharman

Paul Sharman has run his own accountancy practice for 29 years and has a wealth of experience in owner managed businesses, including transactional disputes and taxation matters. He has acted as expert in a number of loss of profit claims and contentious valuations.

Michelle Buckley

Michelle Buckley is a consultant of Longworth Forensic Accounting. She has previously worked with Sally at Grant Thornton and has specialised in forensic accounting for over 22 years. Michelle operates her own forensic practice, Jabit Forensic Accounting, in the Midlands.

Fiona Wood

Fiona Wood acts as a consultant to Longworth Forensic, having worked with Sally for many years at Grant Thornton. Fiona has her own forensic practice, Willis Wood, based in Scotland.

Julie Hardless

Julie Hardless is a consultant of Longworth Forensic. She has specialised in forensic work, primarily personal injury, clinical negligence and industrial disease since 1990 and previously worked with Sally at Grant Thornton.

Carol Mainprize

Carol Mainprize, Associate, has a strong tax background and has worked on personal injury cases, particularly pension cases, for many years. She worked with Julie and Sally at Grant Thornton.

The team are assisted by a data analyst and researcher.

Training for Lawyers

We have a range of courses and seminars which insight and practical help into areas of accountancy expertise, which can impact on lawyers' work. We are happy to discuss topics, which would be of specific interest, but typical areas that we cover include:

  • Interpreting and understanding accounts
  • Matrimonial valuation and liquidity
  • Acquisition disputes
  • Fraud detection and investigation
  • Earnings and pension losses – personal injury claims
